I’m an entrepreneur, investor, and community-minded business builder based in Lexington, Kentucky. I’m currently a co-founder of West Sixth Brewing, which I helped launch in 2012 with the goal of not just making the best beer in Kentucky but also having a positive impact of the communities we are a part of. Over time, West Sixth has grown into one of Kentucky’s most recognized craft beer brands while remaining committed to reinvesting in the places and people that support us, including through the West Sixth For a Cause Foundation.Before West Sixth, I worked at the intersection of technology, politics, and civic engagement. I co-founded Blue State Digital, known for pioneer digital strategy for campaigns and organizations (including the Obama presidential campaign), and later served as chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party.

I live in Lexington, KY with my significantly better half, Becca Self, and amazing children. When I'm not spending time with them, I'm usually playing pickleball, traveling, and have been known to binge a video game or two.
